"Vintage" quilt is done!!

Hello and welcome back....

I have FINALLY finished my Vintage quilt!! Yay....so chuffed with it! As it was one of my long "ongoing" projects, I'm finally done with it. And I love the final result.

I started this quilt about a year ago. I purchased a book by Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms called Simply Retro. I absolutely love that book and it has some fab easy-making quilts. My all time favourite is the Vintage quilt so I started making it almost immediately.

Such an easy pattern to follow. And as the blocks are super sized, this quit is super quick to put together. My fabric came from Hobbycraft and I used plain grey background fabric by Makower.

The whole quilt top took only few days to piece together. Now, that was super-quick for someone who always has few projects going on.

However, to finish it....it took much longer! Somehow, I got sidetracked by other projects and this quilt top got put on standby.

That was until about a month ago when I picked it up again. This time I was on a roll.....

My quilting.....swirls and straight lines.

So here it is....pieced, quilted, ironed and displayed. Now it's going to a special family friend....
