Baby 'Amelia' Quilt

Hi there again...after a short break....

....and I have a new baby quilt and matching cushion to share. This time it's for a baby girl called Amelia. The brief was to match it to her 'white/grey with silver stars bedroom' so I went total opposite and picked very colourful scheme with incorporated silver stars.

My chosen fabric is Wing And Leaf by Gina Martin for Moda fabric (two charm packs) and one charm pack of Hey Dot by Zen Chic. I love this combo as the colours are very striking and complement each other perfectly.

I had a hard time finding suitable silver fabric and after few trips to several local fabric shops I finally managed to find one. This one is Metallic Burlap by Dover Hill for Banartex Fabrics.

I chose simple square patchwork design as I didn't want anything too complex and wanted simple lines and lots of colour.

This quilt was such a pleasure to make and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope baby Amelia enjoys her little quilt and cushion for years to come.
